The Santa Ynez Pirates's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Strathmore Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Santa Ynez strolled past Valley Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 47-30. The win was just what Santa Ynez needed coming off of a 94-16 loss in their prior game.
Jay Bradford and Helina Pecile were among the main playmakers for Santa Ynez as the former dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. Keegan Withrow was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Meanwhile, Strathmore waltzed into their matchup Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 52-40 win over Tulare Western.
Santa Ynez's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Strathmore, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season.
