The Northeastern Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season. They breezed by Eastern York on the road to the tune of 50-19. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Northeastern has scored all season.
Northeastern's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Bush, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Nylah Davis, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
The win for Northeastern keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Eastern York, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeastern will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lampeter-Strasburg at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. As for Eastern York, they will head out on the road to face off against Susquehannock at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
