Baseball Recap: Making Waves Academy Comes Up Short

Making Waves Academy was the 17-7 winner over Ygnacio Valley when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Making Waves Academy Marlins fell just short of the Ygnacio Valley Wolves by a score of 7-6 on Wednesday.

DaMaury Olsen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Emmanuel Alberto, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Making Waves Academy dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Ygnacio Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

While Making Waves Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
