The Casa Grande Gauchos will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Analy Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
On Saturday, Casa Grande didn't have quite enough to beat Novato and fell 4-3.
Franco Bernardini was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last matchup, Analy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Archie Williams on Wednesday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Peregrine Falcons.
Kyle Russel was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Russel was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Benji Parodi looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Kazimir Lasek was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Hunter Thomas, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Analy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2025.
Casa Grande's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Analy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Casa Grande got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 against Analy by a conclusive 15-7 score. Will the Gauchos repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
