Rece Hoyt Goes Supernova in Lone Star Win
Rece Hoyt was instrumental in extending Lone Star's winning streak to seven on Friday. Hoyt was unstoppable, rushing for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, while also throwing for 156 yards and a touchdown while completing 86.4% of his passes.
Lone Star pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Hoyt and Lone Star will square off against Wakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

A Season-Best Effort from Adam Schmid Leads Centennial over Reedy
On Thursday, Centennial had to settle for second even though Adam Schmid put up the best numbers he has all season. Schmid threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 50 yards.
Centennial is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5. Schmid and Centennial will head out to face off against McKinney North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Hudson Eidem Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Sadly, Hudson Eidem posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Lebanon Trail over Heritage on Friday. Eidem rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He is becoming a predictor of Lebanon Trail's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
This year, Eidem has averaged 19 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 30.14 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 91.71 rushing yards.

Hooper Posts Huge Game in 42-24 Win
Vincent Hooper posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 113 yards and three touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 56 yards.
This season, Hooper has averaged 63.6 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 35.57 receiving yards per game.

Bingham Buckley Turns in Season-Best Effort
Centennial came up short on Thursday despite Bingham Buckley delivering his best game to date. Buckley wasn't messing around, picking up two sacks, forcing a fumble, and making nine total tackles (3.0 for loss). The contest was his sixth straight with five or more total tackles.
