Baseball Recap: Dacula Wins Going Away Against Discovery

Dacula won the last time they faced Discovery and things went their way on Wednesday too. Dacula blew past Discovery 7-1. Considering the Falcons have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Reid Dzikowski tossed a big game, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That one hit allowed gave him a new career-low.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Grant Dzikowski, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Devin Peralta also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Dacula and bumps their season record up to 11-10. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Discovery, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Dacula will have a chance to go back-to-back against Discovery: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
