The Meadowbrook Colts will be taking part in a tournament against the John Glenn Muskies at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Meadowbrook took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Caldwell a 10-0 shutout. The win was some much needed relief for the Colts as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Austin Warner was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Meadowbrook is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 9-11 otherwise. Warner was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Kam Winnett was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Beach, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meadowbrook was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday John Glenn sidestepped Buckeye Trail for an 11-10 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Muskies' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
The team relied heavily on Kayden McDonald, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Owen Edwards was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meadowbrook now has a winning record of 12-11. As for John Glenn, their win bumped their record up to 9-16.
Meadowbrook came out on top in a nail-biter against John Glenn in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Colts repeat their success, or do the Muskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
