The High Tech NC Raptor will venture away from home to face off against the High Tech SD Storm at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. High Tech NC is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
On Monday, High Tech NC was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Joseph Academy, taking the game 12-9.
Desmond McDonald made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. McDonald was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Aiden Butler was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three doubles. Butler is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Xavier Salvatore was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask High Tech SD). Everything went their way against Chula Vista Learning Community Charter on Friday as High Tech SD made off with a 13-0 win. With that victory, the Storm brought their scoring average up to 7.8 runs per game.
Devon Caris looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mikey Ortiz, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Izo Kobayashi also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
High Tech SD always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
High Tech NC's record now sits at 3-0. As for High Tech SD, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. High Tech NC has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10 hits per game. However, it's not like High Tech SD struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.8 hits.
