After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Punxsutawney, the DuBois Beavers were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They strolled past Brockway with points to spare, taking the game 43-28. That result was just more of the same for these two, as DuBois also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Brockway saw an underclassman step up: Rheanna Spinda scored eight points along with three steals. Spinda is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight.
Brockway struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
DuBois' win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Brockway, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DuBois will square off against St. Marys at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brockway, they will head out on the road to challenge East Forest/West Forest at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
