If the Serra Cavaliers were riding high off their 50-23 takedown of the Saint Joseph Jesters last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Serra was the victim of a tough 61-37 loss at the hands of the Lancers on Tuesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Serra in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now lost three in a row.
Serra's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaicia Snelson, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Ryleigh Boagni who scored 12 points. Snelson hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Jadah Foster, who scored four points.
Serra now has a losing record at 12-13. As for Bishop Amat, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Serra will square off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop Amat, they will head out on the road to challenge the Jesters at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Saint Joseph focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
