The Plant City Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Bloomingdale Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Plant City made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Riverview, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Plant City never let Riverview get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Raiders have posted against the Sharks since March 8, 2018.

Kyleigh Gibbs tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Plant City got a massive performance out of Rylee Mobley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. That triple was Mobley's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyleigh Meiers, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Bloomingdale had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over Plant on Tuesday.
Natalie Cable made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Cable was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Bloomingdale let Marley Boucher and Paige Sanchez run wild. Boucher went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Sanchez went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Lindsay Cable was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Plant City pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Bloomingdale, their record is now 6-4.
Plant City suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Bloomingdale in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Plant City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
