The Jesuit Marauders will head out to take on the Davis Sr. Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Jesuit will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
On Saturday, Jesuit earned a 5-2 win over Christian Brothers.
Sammy Kane was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in seven consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other pitching news, Parker Lipp looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Cade Colombara, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Javier Ramirez was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Jesuit lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Davis Sr., who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They skirted past Oak Ridge 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blue Devils have posted against the Trojans since May 25, 2017.
Not much got past Cade Castles, who gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks to keep Oak Ridge off the board. Castles has become a key player for Davis Sr.: the team is 6-1-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 1-3 otherwise.
At the plate, Eli Burnham was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Alex Kieffer also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Davis Sr. has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4-1 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 8.67 hits in those games compared to only 5.5 in the others. Jesuit's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Jesuit has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Davis Sr. struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Jesuit's way against Davis Sr. when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Jesuit made off with a 16-1 victory. Does Jesuit have another victory up their sleeve, or will Davis Sr. turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
