Etiwanda is 9-1 against Upland since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Eagles will head out to face off against the Highlanders at 3:15 p.m. Etiwanda is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
Etiwanda barely beat Rancho Cucamonga the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles blew past the Cougars 14-2 on Wednesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Etiwanda gave Michael Aleman the start and clearly made the right call: he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts Aleman has posted since back in April of 2025. Landon Durmisevich relieved him and did a solid job, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Lj Roellig was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Adam Ornelas was another key player, going 4-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Upland hadn't done well against Los Osos recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Highlanders narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Grizzlies 5-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Issac Carlos tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Upland is 10-4-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-5-1 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Darien Maung was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Carson Kinnick, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.
Etiwanda's record is now 17-7. As for Upland, their record now sits at 14-9-2.
Etiwanda came out on top in a nail-biter against Upland in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
