Worth County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  on Saturday. They walked away with  an   8-5  victory over the Hawkinsville Red Devils. This was payback for the Rams, who suffered  a  6-4  loss the last time these two teams met.
 Laurie Pritchard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned  (and one unearned) runs on five hits.
 At the plate,  Isabelle Hancock and  Kamryn Kendrick did most of the damage at the plate:  Hancock  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs, while  Kendrick  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  stolen base and one  run. That's the most  stolen bases  Hancock has posted since back in September of 2024.
Hawkinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Coming up, Worth County will welcome Charlton County  at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Hawkinsville, they will head out on the road to  take on  Schley County  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
