Sams Made His Presence Known in Jacksboro's 28-21 Loss
Starting off the list is Jacksboro's Luke Sams, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Sams rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 82 receiving yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 65 yards.
If the past is any indication, Sams could be in store for another big game when he takes on Henrietta on Friday. When Sams last faced the Bearcats back in September of 2023, he rushed for 117 yards, and also picked up 54 receiving yards.

On Friday, Holliday got the W thanks in part to Steele Skinner playing the best football he has all season. Skinner rushed for 198 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
For the year, Skinner has averaged 25.7 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to four.

Another Game with at Least 106 Rushing Yards from Carson Rojas
Carson Rojas's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his third-straight game with 106+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
Valley View is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. Rojas and Valley View will take on Holliday at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

While Nixon Delaune delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Millsap. Nobody could stop Delaune as he picked up a sack, made four total tackles, and defended a pass.
