Tristan Lyles Turns in Season-Best Performance
Central was led to victory by Tristan Lyles, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Lyles picked up five sacks, forced a fumble, and made nine total tackles (7.0 for loss).

Alexander is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Smiths Station on Friday. Alexander rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries the last time he and the Panthers duked it out back in September of 2023.

Omar Mabson and Co. Win Seventh in a Row
Omar Mabson's big game helped extend Auburn's winning streak to seven on Friday. Mabson did his part (and then some), rushing for 127 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, while also catching a touchdown for the 'W'.
Unfortunately for Smiths Station, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Mabson. Back in November of 2023 (the last time Mabson saw the Panthers), he rushed for 136 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries.

Calvin Hughley was instrumental in extending Opelika's winning streak to five on Friday. Nobody could stop Hughley as he rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
Opelika pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Hughley and Opelika will challenge Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
