Basketball Recap: Trinity Skates Past Hamilton with Ease

Trinity came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to the Hamilton Braves for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-25 win. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Trinity's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Claire Cox, who went 5 of 6 on her way to 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Cox has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Braelynn Nugent, who went 5 for 9 en route to 11 points along with seven boards and six steals.

Trinity smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Several Braves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ally Odom, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabel Rivera, who put up seven points.

Trinity has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Hamilton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Trinity wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-22 victory against Etna on the 14th. Hamilton has also already played their next match, a 42-32 defeat against Central Valley on the 9th.
