The Concord Bears came into Monday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Quarry Lane 54-19 on the road on Monday. That's another feather in the cap for Concord, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Lamiyah Washington was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 14 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Concord's points. Another player making a difference was A'mariah Iglesias, who scored 17 points along with four steals.
Concord's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-19. As for Quarry Lane, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
Concord does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Quarry Lane, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Averroes. Averroes comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
