Basketball Recap: Olivia Green Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Central Dauphin East

Central Dauphin won the last time they faced Central Dauphin East and things went their way on Saturday too. The Central Dauphin Rams enjoyed a cozy 50-33 win over the Central Dauphin East Panthers. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Panthers are ranked 305th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Central Dauphin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olivia Green, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 boards. That's the most rebounds Green has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Syncere Matthews, who posted ten points and three steals.

Central Dauphin smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 11 consecutive matchups.

Central Dauphin's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Central Dauphin East, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9.
