The Beaumont United Timberwolves waltzed into their game Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They snuck past Amarillo with a 61-57 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Kayde Dotson was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Beaumont United's points. Another player making a difference was De?leon Allen, who scored 11 points.
Beaumont United's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Amarillo, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-3.
Beaumont United's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lake Ridge at 8:00 p.m. on December 28th. Lake Ridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 336 points over their last five contests. As for Amarillo, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Estacado at 1:00 p.m. One thing working in Estacado's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
