The Oceana Sharks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 21 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 58-33 margin over The Nueva School. The win was nothing new for Oceana as they're now sitting on four straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oceana to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alamea Lewis, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was Lewis' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kelani Cheng, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds.
Oceana has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for The Nueva School, they bumped their record down to 2-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oceana won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Balboa at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Balboa comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 16 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. The Nueva School will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pacific Bay Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Pacific Bay Christian is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
