Fabian Vigil was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Vigil wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Eli Torres, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. That double was Torres' first of the season.
