Burleson lost to Centennial on Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Elks were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Spartans. The Elks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

Burleson is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Burleson is set to challenge their familiar foe Joshua at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Elks 3.8, the Owls 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Centennial will face off against rival Mansfield Timberview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
