Make it seven blowout wins for the Fallbrook Warriors this season. They blew past Ramona, posting a 68-15 win at home. Given Fallbrook's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 328th, while Ramona is ranked 1255th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Claire Nordeen was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 21 points, 22 rebounds, and nine assists. That's the first time this season that she posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Janice Garcia, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Fallbrook and bumps their season record up to 13-6. As for Ramona, their loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-14.
Fallbrook will square off against Olympian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ramona, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mt. Carmel at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mt. Carmel has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
