Basketball Recap: Diamond Ranch Skates Past Don Lugo with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chino, Diamond Ranch was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 55-23 win over the Don Lugo Conquistadores. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-27 last Friday.

Diamond Ranch got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Amanda Uyeda out in front who went 6 for 10 on her way to 12 points and three steals. Uyeda has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Jazlyn Wint was another key player, going 5 of 11 en route to 13 points and eight boards.

Diamond Ranch smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Diamond Ranch has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Don Lugo, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-14.

Diamond Ranch has already played their next contest, a 44-37 win against Ontario on the 29th. As for Don Lugo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 32-22 defeat against Montclair on the 29th.
