Having just played yesterday, the Northern Huskies will get right back to it and host the Mountain Ridge Miners at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Northern can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 61-31 win over Meyersdale. The win was just what Northern needed coming off of a 84-41 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, the third road matchup was the charm for Mountain Ridge, as they earned their first road win of the season. They had just enough and edged Keyser out 52-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Mountain Ridge has posted yet this season.
Mountain Ridge's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Owen McGeady, who scored 19 points. Ian Duncan was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with nine rebounds.
Northern's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Mountain Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.
