Maryland High School Basketball - Mountain Ridge thwarts Northern

January 26, 2024: Accident, MD 21520

The Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) basketball knocked off the host Northern Huskies (Accident, MD), 49-34 in Friday's league test.

The Miners (8-7) will now prepare for their test against Allegany (Cumberland, MD). The Campers go into the Appalachian test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, Allegany notched a victory over Clear Spring (Clear Spring, MD), 82-45, in a non-league test.

The Huskies now own a 6-9 record. They play next when they travel to Rockwood for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 30.
