Baseball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Dublin's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Dublin hadn't done well against Treutlen recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Dublin put the hurt on Treutlen with a sharp 11-1 victory. Considering the Fighting Irish have won 11 contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Dublin got a massive performance out of Ryland Yates, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, Yates posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrese Robinson, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Dublin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Treutlen only posted an OBP of .250.

Dublin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. Treutlen's loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dublin will welcome Academy for Classical Education at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Academy for Classical Education will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Dublin surely won't give up without a fight. As for Treutlen, they will face off against Telfair County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Treutlen is facing Telfair County at the right time seeing as Telfair County is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
