It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Franklin County Seahawks had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 72-22 victory over the Saints. That 50 point margin sets a new team best for Franklin County this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklin County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lonnie O'neal, who scored 14 points along with four steals and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Sadiq Jones, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Wakulla Christian School struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Franklin County pulled down 15 offensive rebounds.
Franklin County's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-11. As for Wakulla Christian School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-16.
Franklin County will square off against Port St. Joe at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Wakulla Christian School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
