The Yuba City Honkers can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 40-30 victory over Roseville. The victory was just what Yuba City needed coming off of a 55-18 loss in their prior contest.
Yuba City got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Josie Carrick out in front who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 17 rebounds. Carrick hasn't dropped below two blocks for five straight games. Jazlene Casolis was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Yuba City's win bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Roseville, they dropped their record down to 5-21 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home.
Yuba City will take on the Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Bella Vista focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 42 on Friday. As for Roseville, they will head out on the road to take on the Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Antelope's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 12 matches.
