The Eek Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. Their rough 55-30 defeat to Chief Paul Memorial might stick with them for a while. Eek was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Chief Paul Memorial apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Leading Chief Paul Memorial to victory were Charly Peter and Amairah Nicholas. Peter scored 12 points, while Nicholas scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brietta Paul, who scored eight points.
Eek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Chief Paul Memorial, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Lewis Angapak the next time they take the court. Chief Paul Memorial will host Lewis Angapak at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Eek will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
