The River Ridge Royal Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 85-34 defeat at the hands of Lecanto. River Ridge was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-13.
Several Royal Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was JACOB HITCHCOCK, who scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of THOMAS DELORETO, who scored six points.
Jt Tipton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lecanto, scoring 26 points along with seven assists and six steals. Tipton is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Braylen Moore, who scored 17 points along with six steals.
River Ridge dropped their record down to 4-15 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Lecanto, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.
River Ridge will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Bryan Vargas and JACOB YEAGER. As for Lecanto, they will head out on the road to square off against the Wolf Pack at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Port is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
