Football Recap: Beloit Extends Winning Streak to Three

Beloit extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 4-3. They came out on top against the Ellsworth Bearcats by a score of 16-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

As for Ellsworth, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Ellsworth still got an impressive performance from Tucker Goss, who rushed for 169 yards and one TD while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Goss is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 111 every time he's taken the field this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Beloit will square off against Russell on the 25th. The Broncos' defense has only allowed 11.8 points per game this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Ellsworth, they will challenge Southeast of Saline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bearcats will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
