Northeastern has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Dover Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Even though Northeastern has not done well against Eastern York recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Northeastern came out on top against Eastern York by a score of 45-38.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northeastern to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nylah Davis, who scored 14 points. Mikayla Coleman was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-35, which was the final score in Dover's tilt against York Suburban on Friday. Dover has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Northeastern pushed their record up to 15-0 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Dover, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
Everything went Northeastern's way against Dover in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as Northeastern made off with a 60-37 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northeastern since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
