The El Segundo Eagles will face off against the Redondo Union Sea Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (El Segundo 3, Redondo Union 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
The home team had won the previous six meetings between El Segundo and North, and El Segundo kept the tradition alive. El Segundo came out on top against North by a score of 6-1 on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Saxons: they've now won three in a row.

Jake Collins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Austin Hohman, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Jaiden Rico was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Redondo Union). They were the clear victor by a 12-4 margin over Carson on Saturday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Sea Hawks' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Geno Guerrero looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Redondo Union is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 1-4 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Parker Leoff was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those home runs were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Michael Hines, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
Redondo Union kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carson only managed six hits.
El Segundo pushed their record up to 8-0-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Redondo Union, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
