Berean Christian put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Mt. Diablo Red Devils an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Luke Upshaw was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Berean Christian got a massive performance out of Josh Werner, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
