The Forestview Jaguars entered their tilt with the Palisades Pumas with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Forestview secured a 49-45 W over Palisades on Tuesday. For Forestview, this counts as revenge for the 43-40 loss Palisades walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Forestview got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Blair Riley out in front who scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals. Riley is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Amani Neely was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 steals.
Palisades' lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tynilla Simpkins, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds. Simpkins hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Estelle Macho, who scored 5 points along with 10 rebounds and 6 steals.
Forestview's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Palisades, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forestview won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against North Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on November 29th. Hopefully North Lincoln focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Tuesday. As for Palisades, they will be playing at home against South Point at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully South Point focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Tuesday.
