The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. He also put up two doubles, which were his first of the season.
In other batting news, Johnny Morinaga was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Brandon Vera was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
