After flying high against Encinal  two weeks ago, Concord came back down to earth. The Bears fell  25-21 to the Mt. Diablo Red Devils on Friday. The Bears have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
 Juan Gonzalez threw for 122 yards and one  TD.   Erik Madayag was his top target, picking up 59 receiving yards.  On the ground,  Jacari Gibson rushed for 177 yards and a pair of  scores on only 15 carries.
Concord's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Mt. Diablo, they moved to 4-3 with that  win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Concord will  challenge  rival Ygnacio Valley  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Mt. Diablo is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Berean Christian  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
