On Friday, Jordan sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 44-42 victory over Irvine. The win made it back-to-back wins for Jordan.
Jordan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bryanna Moran led the charge by scoring ten points along with five steals. Moran is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Asia Edwards was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals.
Jordan has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Irvine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
Jordan will head out on the road to face off against Carson at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Carson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday. As for Irvine, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Trabuco Hills at 6:30 p.m.
