The Jefferson Grizzlies entered their tilt with the San Jose Bulldogs with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Jefferson blew past San Jose 60-22 on the road. With that victory, Jefferson brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.
Jefferson was led to victory by Grace Wang and Jerzey Gallegos. Wang scored 11 points along with seven assists and five steals, while Gallegos scored 21 points along with three steals. Wang hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Erin Panaligan, who scored ten points.
Jefferson pushed their record up to 5-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for San Jose, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson will square off against San Mateo at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. San Mateo is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. San Jose will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Eastside College Prep at 6:15 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
