Delphi Community is 8-2 against Tri-County since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Delphi Community Oracles will head out on the road to face off against the Tri-County Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Delphi Community focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
Delphi Community suffered their biggest loss since November 21, 2023 on Friday. Their rough 58-33 loss to Sheridan might stick with them for a while. Delphi Community's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Despite their defeat, Delphi Community saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jenna Roth, who scored ten points along with five steals, was perhaps the best of all. Roth has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lacey Pickering, who scored seven points.
Caston typically has all the answers at home, but two weeks ago Tri-County proved too difficult a challenge. They snuck past the Comets with a 47-42 victory. The win was nothing new for Tri-County as they're now sitting on four straight.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Sara Zarse and Isabel Scales. Zarse had a solid game and scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. Meanwhile, Scales was balling out in the loss, scoring 14 points along with nine steals and six rebounds.
Delphi Community's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Tri-County, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6.
Delphi Community might still be hurting after the 61-41 defeat they got from Tri-County when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Delphi Community avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
