The Galeton Tigers lost against the Cameron County Raiders back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Galeton took a serious blow against Cameron County, falling 46-14. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Galeton in their matchups with Cameron County: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the defeat, Galeton had strong showings from Lynlee Basile, who scored 10 points, and Brielle Lehman, who scored 4 points.
Cameron County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clara Clark, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Navaeh Spaeth, who scored 5 points along with 6 steals.
Galeton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cameron County, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Galeton will take on Williamson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Williamson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Thursday. As for Cameron County, they will be playing at home against Austin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
