The South Hills Huskies will square off against the Los Altos Conquerors at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. South Hills' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Los Altos' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
South Hills barely beat Alta Loma the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Huskies were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Braves on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Huskies as they're now sitting on three straight.

Elias Reyes looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because South Hills is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-5 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Victor Merlos and Diego Villarreal did most of the damage at the plate: Merlos went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Villarreal scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. That's the most RBI Merlos has posted since back in February. Wesley Manning was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
South Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Los Altos came up short against Colony on Wednesday and fell 5-1. The Conquerors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Los Altos saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Vargas, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
South Hills' win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Los Altos, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8-1.
Los Altos' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. South Hills has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Los Altos, though, as they've been averaging only 3.5 strikeouts. Will South Hills keep running through batters, or will the Conquerors buck the trend?
South Hills took their victory against Los Altos in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3 score. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Conquerors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
