The Trinity Wolves lost against the Fall River Bulldogs back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Trinity fell 52-44 to Fall River. Trinity has not had much luck with Fall River recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Trinity lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Claire Cox, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Kloe Kist, who scored 17 points along with five steals.
Fall River's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mylah Darnell, who scored 16 points along with eight steals. Reese Cassity was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with three steals.
Trinity's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for Fall River, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity will challenge Modoc at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Modoc focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday. As for Fall River, they will head out on the road to challenge Mt. Shasta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Shasta will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1149th, while Fall River is ranked 341st).
