Baseball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

After flying high against Mission on Thursday, Washington came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 12-1 to the El Cerrito Gauchos on Saturday.

Washington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Kim, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Kim is becoming a predictor of the Eagles' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 4-1 (and 4-14 when he doesn't).

Washington has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for El Cerrito, their record now sits at 13-7.

Coming up, Washington will square off against Lincoln at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for El Cerrito, they will face off against Saint Mary's at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
