It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Jamestown Muskies ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 win over Youngsville. The victory was just what Jamestown needed coming off of a 51-15 defeat in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jamestown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Makayla Williams, who scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Williams scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayna Cadman, who scored 14 points.
Jamestown's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Youngsville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Jamestown will head out on the road to square off against Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lakeview is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Youngsville will take on Cochranton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
