Baseball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Escondido Charter

Escondido Charter had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Rock Academy Warriors as they made off with a 20-3 victory. Considering the White Tigers have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Grady Tubbs looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits.

At the plate, Joey Seavello was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Tanner, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Escondido Charter kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 12-1-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Escondido Charter's record now sits at 15-5-1. As for Rock Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

As of now, neither Escondido Charter nor Rock Academy have any future games scheduled.
