Calvary Baptist extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping their season record up to 15-6 in the process. Everything went their way against the Bell Gardens Lancers as they made off with a 12-2 win. Considering the Cougars have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
R.J. Franco and Chris Bacarella made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Franco struck out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Bacarella pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Franco went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Bacarella went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Devin Debuono was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaedik Mcphail, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
