There's no place like home for the Milpitas Trojans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They managed a 55-49 win over Mountain View on Friday. For Milpitas, this counts as revenge for the 47-44 defeat Mountain View walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Nohe'alani Stores was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Jasleen Dhaliwal was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mikayla Kim, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kambria Conover-Emmert, who scored five points.
Milpitas pushed their record up to 9-6 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.
Milpitas will head out on the road to take on Saratoga at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mountain View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gunn at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gunn will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 763rd, while Mountain View is ranked 293rd).
